David Colclough may have not yet experienced winning a World Series of Poker bracelet, but he surely does have remarkable achievements in the said tournament as well as in other poker events.

David Colclough was born in Carmathen, South Wales on March 4, 1964. His original profession was as a computer programmer for several companies, including Fujitsu, the British Inland Revenue, the British National Health Service, and the British Post Office. In 2000, he joined the US$2,000 Pot Limit Hold'em event of the World Series of Poker and finished second place. This was the time when he decided to leave his work as a computer programmer and concentrate on playing poker instead.

Currently living in Birmingham, England, David Colclough is recognized as a professional poker player who is skillful in all types of poker games. Aside from the World Series of Poker, he also made several appearances in the television series "Late Night Poker." In 2003, this professional poker player was recognized as the European Poker Player of the Year. But to some poker enthusiasts, especially to his fans, David Colclough is not only Europe's best player but he is also one of the world's best professional poker players.

In the third season of the Grand Prix de Paris event of the World Poker Tour, David Colclough made it to the final table, giving him the opportunity to win a total of €84,890, which is equivalent to US$103,507.

He also participated in the World Heads-Up Poker Championship tournament in May 2005, wherein he made it to the semi-finals. The winnings that this professional poker player was able to take home amounted to €20,000.

He was only forty one years old in 2005 but he was already inducted into the European Poker Players Hall of Fame. During that time, such accomplishment made him its youngest inductee.

Still in 2005, David Colclough became the coach of professional poker player Brian Wilson. David Colclough seemed to be a very effective poker coach because Wilson won a World Series of Poker bracelet in the same year. Because of such victory, Wilson has always been very grateful for the support that David Colclough has been giving him.

David Colclough also has his own Web site known as BlondePoker.com. It started to feature an online poker room in 2006.

The second wife of this professional poker player was Rhowena Colclough. She used to be a model who also plays poker well. In fact, she was included in the semi-finals of the Poker Dome Challenge.
